Our Approach
DVT
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a condition where a blood clot forms in a deep vein, typically in the leg. It requires immediate medical intervention to prevent serious complications.
Sadly, we have experience of many clients who have suffered a DVT which was not diagnosed until it was too late.
We have seen DVT missed by GPs, physiotherapists, surgeons and A&E doctors. We have experience of DVTs being missed after a long-haul flight, after having major surgery and even after having a baby.
If a DVT is not diagnosed in time, it can cause complications, including leg ulcers, phlebitis and pulmonary embolism and can even necessitate amputation or prove fatal.
