Brain Damage/Cerebral Palsy
Brain Damage – Cerebral Palsy
This is usually caused by a lack of oxygen to the baby’s brain either before, during or after delivery. The lack of oxygen can cause injuries, such as Cerebral Palsy leaving babies with learning difficulties and/or physical injuries such as problems with walking, sitting, using or controlling muscles, swallowing and eating, speaking, and caring for themselves. Sometimes, the injuries are so severe that a baby may need 24-hour care throughout his/her lifetime.
If it can be proved that the brain injury was avoidable, and was caused because of negligent care, then a claim may provide the financial means to make improvements to the quality of the baby’s life as he/she grows up. It can also make a huge difference to your life if you are his/her carer.
