Job Title:                Paralegal

Area of Law:            Clinical Negligence

We are recruiting for a paralegal to join our team of clinical negligence specialists. Your role will be to provide legal and administrative support to one of our senior solicitors. 

We pride ourselves on the quality of our training, in helping all of our staff to progress in their careers.  All of our trainee solicitors joined MDS as paralegals, so there is the opportunity for carer progression for the right candidate.

Requirements for Role

1. A law degree or other relevant legal or clinical experience.
2. A basic understanding of medical negligence law and procedure.
3. A basic understanding of personal injury law and procedure.
4. Should be confident and able to work on own initiative and assume the responsibilities of a junior fee earner.
5. Will need a flexible and professional attitude to work, be adaptable and be able to work under pressure.
6. Good organisational skills and be able to manage own time effectively.
7. Ability to work on own initiative whilst maintaining a positive team spirit at all times.
8. Able to adopt a common sense approach with attention to detail.
9. Effective communicator, able to establish and maintain harmonious and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
10. A professional, efficient and personable telephone manner is essential.
11. A professional approach to all external contacts with the firm on the telephone and in person is essential.
