Moosa-Duke Solicitors is a member of the Fosse Business Breakfast Club, a network of small to medium-sized businesses which share best practice and help to support the local community through charity events.
The Fosse Business Breakfast Club was privileged to hold its fortnightly meeting at Leicestershire County Cricket Club last week for a special presentation from one of the players, Paul Horton, and the CEO, Wasim Khan MBE.
Mehmooda Duke, and one of our solicitors, Gemma Lewis, attended and had the opportunity to listen to Paul discuss his experience of leading a cricket team, from when he was captain of Lancashire Cricket Club, and how he balanced the various demands of the job. He also discussed his current role as a senior player in Leicestershire County Cricket Club and how he uses his experience to help to guide new players coming through from the academy. Wasim discussed the impact of the changes to the game of cricket in recent years and how the club has adapted to manage and get the best from those changes.

The presentation focused on how the skills that are employed in the dressing room to motivate and develop professional sports players can be used in the business environment to get the most from a team.
