A report in the Independent has revealed that workers in one of the UK’s largest hospital groups, Barts Health NHS Trust, have complained about racism, sexism and harassment. The Care Quality Commission carried out an inspection after concerns were raised about the culture and conflict between staff in the imaging departments at Whipps Cross Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. This has led to further concerns about the safety of the services provided. The Trust responded to the CQC report and said that there is a commitment to eliminating discrimination and promoting good relations between its staff.
