Operative Burns and Scarring – Client Receives Compensation

Posted By admin - 18th July 2012

Moosa- Duke Solicitors have this week secured compensation for a client who suffered as a result of medical negligence against a Manchester Hospital.

Our client suffered severe burns after undergoing a routine Hysterectomy operation. The operation itself went well however during the recovery period our client was burnt severely after a heat pack was applied to the operation site without checking the temperature and without a protective cover.

As a result of the Hospital’s negligence our client was left disfigured with severe burns, scarring and psychological injuries.

Our client also experienced numbness, discomfort and pain which prevented her from resuming her responsibilities as a wife and mother.

Our client was awarded £26,500 in compensation for her pain, suffering and loss of amenity.
